Warning: Wind warning in force for the Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville.
Situation: A trough over northern New Zealand moves away to the west today. A strong easterly covers the region and continues for the next few days.
Forecast:
For the Manukau and Waitemata Harbours: Today: Easterly 20 knots. Sea moderate, but choppy when wind opposes tide. Fair visibility in rain, poor in heavy falls at times. For the Hauraki Gulf and for Bream Head to Cape Colville: Today: Easterly 20 knots gusting 30 knots, but 30 knots gusting 40 knots north of Whangaparaoa Peninsula. Moderate sea, but rough in the north. Sea choppy when wind opposes tide. Fair visibility in rain, poor in heavy falls at times.
